The God Who Cracks Your Code
That Just Happened
A great weekend at Quest Community Church diving into God’s undignified and irresistible pursuit of His kids! Hope you take the time every week to reflect on what God was doing in you and around you, Questers. Here are a few things that stood out to me:
- Morgan and Ron’s story was remarkable…a breathtaking picture of how a married couple on different spiritual planets – one a skeptic and one a Pharisee (a religious expert) – could both be won by the same God. If I were you, I’d buy a DVD so you can watch that again and again.
- Loved reading Questers the truth of Ephesians 1 and Psalm 139. Since before you were ever born, God has been thinking of you and dreaming for you. It would be a great idea to go back and read those passages again.
- God Himself is personally consumed with you. He knows all about you, and He knows exactly how to crack your code.
- I cracked my wife Jacki’s code taking her to the World Equestrian Games. Earlier in the week she and Carson fed the horses well, too:)
- We all have elements of our Soul Code that are universal…
1. You Matter to God
2. You are Powerless
3. You Need to See Jesus
PLUS…Your Wildcard (What it is that you need to hear from Jesus?)
- In a sick way, I loved likening God to a Mad TV comedian trying in desperation to capture our hearts. (No, it’s not true…Guinness nor Ripley were in the room!)
- 20+ people put their faith in Christ today! A gorgeous reality of people recognizing and responding to the God who cracked their code!
- My friend Jennifer was absolutely shining as she finally understood that she really matters to God and asked Jesus into her heart.
- I meant what I said about being here for our first ever weekend baptism service next weekend. This is a “change your calendar…do not miss” weekend. (One of a handful of the weekends of the year we say this about!)
- If you’ve given your life to Christ but haven’t been baptized yet, it’s TIME! Acts 22:16 asks this great question, “What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized.” Bring shorts and a t-shirt and go public for the One who went all the way to the cross for you! (No need to sign up…just SHOW UP!)
