When The Winds Blow

As I prep for this weekend’s launch of our brand new Christmas series, When Suddenly…, I’m aware of unusual winds these days. A friend’s mother is recovering from surgery as she waits for the doctor to call with biopsy results. Two other friends are making their way through the holidays without their fathers for the very first time. And as a pastor, I’ve talked with many of you finding your relational worlds turned upside down, finances stretched or addictions out of control.

It strikes me that in the middle of decorating, shopping & parties, sometimes there’s more going on than we admit. Maybe no one else even knows what you’re facing right now. But when the circumstances of life get beyond your control, 1 Peter 5:7 says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about what happens to you.” He will never leave you or abandon you. The God of the universe cares for you. He is ready to meet you…no matter who you are or what you’ve done.

I can’t wait to bring this weekend’s message…bring anyone you know who’s feeling the winds blow!
