He loves us
Celebration, our Wednesday night service at Quest, was unbelievable this week. We spent the night together singing, worshiping God, sharing in the Lord’s supper…and singing some more. 800-900 people coming to a worship night in June, singing at the top of their lungs. It was a picture of the Acts 2 church…and a picture of heaven. I love this place!
Revelation tells us that one day we will worship Jesus together forever…people from every tribe, tongue, nation and era…all worshiping the One who loves us and gave His life for us. Tonight was a picture of that kind of worship. Don’t you love Revelation Song and He Loves Us (How He Loves)??! I hope those of you who got to be there worshiping with us were blown away.
As we were all about to take communion, I loved asking everyone to look around. People were drinking it in. Hundreds of people in community…living the fullest, richest lives we could imagine…remembering the One who gave His life for us. It was a great reminder: We are not alone. Isn’t it a great feeling? His great love draws us to Himself, calls us out of isolation, prevents us from being wanderers, and draws us into the bride of Christ (the only thing that is eternal). The song is true…He loves us!
I can’t wait to worship with you again this weekend…
p.s. Take my new survey and let me know how you experience love!
